Maya earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, San Marcos, and spent several years on California’s Central Coast in San Luis Obispo. She went on to complete her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Orange County before returning to her hometown of San Diego to practice medicine.
